What to Expect on Your
First Driving Lesson?
Feeling a bit nervous about your first driving lesson? Don’t worry—it’s completely normal! At Drivehaa, we aim to make your first experience behind the wheel as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Here’s what you can expect:
Meet and Greet
Your instructor will introduce themselves and go over a few basics, helping you feel at ease. They’ll check your provisional driving license, so don’t forget to bring it along!
Introduction to the Car
Before you start driving, you’ll get familiar with the car’s controls, including:
• Steering wheel, pedals (accelerator, brake, and clutch), and gear stick
• Mirrors and how to adjust them for safe driving
• Dashboard controls and indicators
Understanding the Cockpit Drill
Your instructor will guide you through the cockpit drill, which includes:
• Door – Making sure the door is properly closed
• Seat – Adjusting the seat for comfort and control
• Steering – Ensuring a comfortable grip on the steering wheel
• Seatbelt – Fastening your seatbelt securely
• Mirrors – Adjusting mirrors for maximum visibility
Basic Controls and Moving Off
You’ll learn how to:
• Start the engine safely
• Use the clutch, accelerator, and brake smoothly
• Move off and stop safely
• Steer the car and maintain control at low speeds
Driving Practice
Once you’re comfortable, you’ll practice:
• Moving off and stopping in a quiet area
• Controlling the car’s speed and direction
• Basic steering techniques and gentle turns

After the lesson, your instructor will provide constructive feedback on your performance and outline the next steps for your learning journey.
